Wooden document no. 17: Corvée laborer names on wood

This is a list of corvée laborers submitted by the village “chief” when they reported for duty. The “katō” was someone in charge of cooking for and managing the corvée laborers. The list has the names of 10 workers. It shows that residents were required to work at Akita Fort as a kind of tax.
