Dewa-koku-Akita-kyojo-ezu – Construction Plan of Kubota Castle in 1780

On July 10, 1778, during the lordship of Yoshiatsu Satake, eighth generation lord of the Satake family, the main building (hon-maru) was lost in a fire. This is a reconstruction plan that was submitted to the shogunate in January 1780. In those days, renovation or reconstruction work on castles was strictly regulated by the shogunate. The part in red indicates where the main building was lost.
