The first lord of Kubota domain who reigned for 31 years
Under the order of the government in 1602, Yoshinobu moved to Akita from Hitachi to take over Minato Castle. In the following years, he turned himself into one of the greatest administrators of the seventeenth century and launched a new era in the history of Akita by building a new castle in Kubota, starting inspections of the territory, making new rules for taxation, and developing the mining industry in the domain. He also participated in the Siege of Osaka in 1614 on the Tokugawa side.
