Thanks to his success in the reorganization of forestry policy and the increase in taxation, the financial difficulties eased, and Yoshitada managed to abolish the system of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">chigyo-kariage<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (&#8220;compulsory borrowing from officials&#8221;), which had been introduced by Yoshizumi.
