{"id":3331,"date":"2018-11-10T14:38:30","date_gmt":"2018-11-10T05:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/history-here.com?page_id=3331"},"modified":"2018-12-26T06:11:09","modified_gmt":"2018-12-25T21:11:09","slug":"kubota-hommaru","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/history-here.com\/en\/stories\/kubota-hommaru","title":{"rendered":"Kubota Castle Hommaru"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kubota Castle was built in eighth year of the Keicho Era (in 1603) on the hill named Shinmei-yama which was 40 meters high.<\/p>\n<p>The area was also called Mitsumori-yama because it had three hills.<\/p>\n<p>The Hommaru (Headquarters of the Castle) was built after preparing the ground on the top of Shinmei-yama. The width of the Hommaru was 117 meters east to west, 215 meters north to south, not including earthworks surrounding the Hommaru.<\/p>\n<p>The lord lived with his government in the Hommaru. The Hommaru had a watch tower with swords and guns and the castle tower or Odashishoin.<\/p>\n<p>On the Castle grounds there were Tamonnagaya, wooden walls, a Main Gate, and five other gates,
