Kazuno

Kazuno City (population: 30,912 in October 2017) was established in April 1972 with the merger of Hanawa Town, Towada Town, Osarizawa Town and Hachimantai Village. The area which makes the present-day Kazuno was rule by the Nambu clan of Morioka Domain during the Edo period and was transferred to Akita Prefecture in November 1871.
